Long ago, before there was anything, there were two Goddesses: Gaia and Kaimana. Kaimana created the Ocean And Gaia created the first ever land, Fundamia

To give the ocean a function, Kaimana filled it with live. Fish, Coral, and most importantly; Mermaids. Gaia did the same. She created humans to populate her land. They eached ruled over their own creations. With Gaia rewarding her most loyal followers with the ability to harbor magic. These people were called ekitona, also known as sorcerers. The two godesses ruled together in harmony, and to show good faith Kaimana gifted Gaia and her land Fairies, a human like spieces made to tend to nature. In return Gaia gifted Kaimana’s mermaids the ability to walk on land if they wished to do so.

Because the ocean was so vast, and Fundamia small in comparison, Kaimana allowed Gaia to create more land, and she did. She created continents all around the globe. But she kept her magic and her rule contained to the original land, to allow the rest of the world to thrive on it’s own. She covererd her first creation with a new land, to keep it hidden from the people of the non-magical world. Fundamia was now devided into two parts: The Within and Outer-Fundamia. With the latter being made to adapt to the world around it as time passed. She created a dome around Fundamia and the surrounding ocean as to protect the heart of the magical world. Crossing this dome was near impossible, keeping even Outer-Fundamia visible but unreachable for outsiders.

Centuries passed and the Goddesses grew tired of ruling. They wanted to retire to Ghealladh, their brithplace and promised paradicial afterlife. In order to do so they needed someone else to take their place. Kaimana created her daughter and first heir, Cordelia, from the seafoam under the light of the full moon. She became the first Queen of Cordelius.

Gaia created her heirs by taking the brightest stars in the sky and turning them into women. Three in total, one for each of the magic sorts the sorcerers could harbor. Sitara was first, making her not only Queen but also the source of light magic and the Patroness of earth, giving her the ability to control the element if necessary. Cassiopeia came next, making her the source of physical magic as well as the Patroness of the element fire. Carina came last, making her the first source of dark magic and Patroness of the element air. Their bloodline would rule Fundamia in Gaia’s name for millennia. With the sourcedoms and their abilities passing from each deceased source to the first of Gaia’s blood to be born after their passing. Their bloodline grew so wide that the three sources were never this closely related again. Untill now, 2000 years later…
